Volunteering

Thank you for clicking on and looking into the opportunities and process to become a Mount Vernon School District Volunteer.  Volunteer service is vital to the success of our schools. Whether you are looking for approval to attend a field trip or approval to be in the school or classroom daily, we would love to have you participate. Studies have shown that interest and support of our learners demonstrates the importance of education.  We encourage parents and community members to volunteer by working in classrooms, through assistance with activities, and by chaperoning on field trips. Parents, grandparents, students and community members are all invited to help make a difference in our schools.

Mount Vernon School District policy requires that all volunteers complete a Volunteer Application prior to volunteering in the schools. Applications need to be completed at least two weeks prior to volunteering. This is particularly important for field trip requests as the volume may cause delays in processing. Get your applications completed early!

The district will soon be transitioning to a different Online Volunteer Application System. Until that is released, we ask your patience.  Once the new site is available, you will find a link here to complete your application.

If you have additional questions, please send us an email at volunteer@mvsd320.org.
