Dear families,

I wanted to keep you informed about the current flood watch situation in Mount Vernon. Our district is actively monitoring the forecast and water levels. In the event that we determine a school closure is necessary, notifications will be sent out promptly through Remind, just as we do for any weather-related updates.

We have been told by officials that there is no significant flooding expected in West Mount Vernon and there are no plans to close the westside bridge.  As things stand, we anticipate that school will proceed as usual tomorrow.

Please know that safety is our top priority, and we will keep you updated on any new developments.

Quería mantenerlo informado sobre la situación actual de vigilancia de inundaciones en Mount Vernon. Nuestro distrito está monitoreando activamente el pronóstico y los niveles de agua. En caso de que determinemos que es necesario cerrar la escuela, las notificaciones se enviarán de inmediato a través de Remind, tal como lo hacemos con cualquier actualización relacionada con el clima.

Los funcionarios nos han dicho que no se esperan inundaciones significativas en West Mount Vernon y que no hay planes para cerrar el puente del lado oeste. Tal como están las cosas, anticipamos que las clases continuarán como de costumbre mañana.
