Madison Elementary students are getting creative

Second grade teacher at Madison Elementary, Cristina Ashcraft, worked with her class to create a very special mural.  When asked what message students wanted to share with the community they said, "Save the pollinators!" Second graders worked to create a mural to cover graffiti in Mount Vernon, and their expertise on bugs and pollinators was just what was needed.  
A special thanks to the Mount Vernon Police Department for giving them the opportunity to share their voice, all of the students who participated in the mural, and Cristina Ashcraft.  Great job! I am sharing a picture below.
