Principal For A Day
Ten business and civic leaders entered Mount Vernon School District's schools on October 28 to shadow a principal as part of the fifth annual Principal for a Day event. The event is designed to help community leaders better understand the complex role of the school principal and get perspective on the school system from within. Students are given the opportunity to interact with business leaders in their capacity as principal for a day and teachers share their experiences, challenges, and ideas with the leaders.
For more information about Principal for a Day or any of the district's volunteer programs, please call the district's office at (360) 428-6110.
