Dave Anderson, Principal Dave previously served as Assistant Principal at Lynnwood High School and also taught Middle School for 7-1/2 years. During that time, he taught English, Social Studies, and Reading.
Dave received his Masters in Administration at City University, B.A. at the University of Washington, A.A.S. at Everett Community College, and High School Diploma at Marysville-Pilchuck High School.
Dave's favorite sport is basketball and his hobbies include skiing, fishing, and participating with his three daughters in their activities.
"What I enjoy most about this high school is that we have the best students, staff, and community," Dave enthuses. "It's great to be a bulldog!"
Eric Monson, Assistant Principal Eric has served as Athletic Director for the Mount Vernon School District from 1995 to the present. His previous teaching experience includes Math instruction at MVHS, 1992-1995; Curtis High School, 1985-1992; and Enumclaw Junior High School, 1983-1985.
Eric received his Masters in Educational Leadership at City University, B.A. in Education at Pacific Lutheran University, and High School Diploma at Ephrata.
Eric's favorite sports are baseball and golf and he enjoys hiking and spending time with his family.
"I enjoy the diverse student population and the opportunities for growth provided to each of those students," Eric says. "I am proudest of those who embrace learning, sharing, and growing as young men and women."
Krista Paulson, Career & Technical Education Director / Assistant Principal Krista has served as the Director of Career & Technical Education at MVHS since 2001 and took on the added responsibilities of Assistant Principal in 2004.
Krista taught in the Business Education Department at Stanwood High School prior to coming to MVHS.
She received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at Central Washington University and Masters of Education in Educational Leadership at City University.
Krista enjoys snowskiing, hiking, waterskiing, and mountain biking and likes to stay active over all four seasons.
"What I like most about MVHS is the broad list of activities, extra-curricular and elective choices that students have to choose from. Students have many opportunities to explore their interests before graduation," Krista states.
Anita Roberson, Assistant Principal
Anita served as an administrative intern in the Bellevue School District during the 2004-05 school year and previously taught both middle and high school in the Bellevue and Seattle School Districts.
Anita graduated from Rainier Beach High School in Seattle and later earned an AA degree from South Seattle Community College. She continued her studies at Seattle University, earning a BA in English with a minor in Spanish, a Master's in Teaching and, most recently, a Post-Master's Educational Specialist degree in Educational Administration.
Anita enjoys spending time with her nieces, being outdoors, traveling, and dancing.
Juan Espinoza, I.E.P. Counselor
Juan previously served as Assistant Principal at Wilson Middle School in Yakima and as Assistant Director of the Bilingual Program of Seattle Public Schools.
Juan's previous teaching experience includes working as Counselor at Bellingham High School, Wilson Middle School, and at Alvarado Elementary in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Juan received his Bachelor of Science in Education at Northern Arizona University and a Masters in Education at Seattle Pacific University.
Juan's interests include baseball, writing, traveling, and music, but mostly MVHS students!
Dave Riddle, Athletic Director Dave's teaching experience includes teaching English at MVHS from 1997-2004, as well as Cedar Heights Junior High School in Port Orchard (English, P.E., French, ASB), from 1987-1997. He also taught P.E. and English at The American School of Kinshasa in Zaire from 1983-1987.
Dave received his Masters in Education (School Administration) from Western Washington University, Bachelor of Arts from Seattle Pacific University (English, P.E., Secondary Education), and High School Diploma from Mariner High School, class of 1978.
Dave's favorite sports are football, baseball, and track. He also enjoys reading and music.
