Mission Statement
The Mount Vernon High School Scholarship Foundation was formed in 1984 by members of the Class of 1934.
Its purpose is to honor and pay tribute to outstanding citizens of the graduating class at Mount Vernon High School and to provide opportunities for further education.
Each applicant must be a graduating senior from Mount Vernon High School planning to attend any form of post-secondary training, technical school, or a two or four-year college.
Candidates are selected based on their personal goals, need and community and school involvement.
Ways to Give
Gifts of Cash or Check
The most simple way to make a gift. Checks should be payable to the Mount Vernon High School Scholarship Foundation.
Memorial or Honorary Gifts
A tribute to family or a friend.
Bequest
Through a bequest, you can name the Foundation in your will to receive a portion or the residual of your estate.
Life Insurance
The Foundation can be named beneficiary of a policy.
Gifts of Securities
Avoid capital gains tax on appreciated stock by donating it.
