EDUCATIONAL ACRONYMS & TITLES
At times we get so accustomed to referring to programs and processes by the acronym of the day, we forget they can be hard to decipher. These are some of the abbreviated terms you may hear Jefferson staff or even your students refer to. If others occur that are not mentioned here, please ask us for definitions.

For instance, J.P.G. refers to  Jefferson's active and supportive parents' group organization - Jefferson Parents' Group. Other acronyms or titles you may encounter:

SUMMIT – Refers to a 3 year grant awarded to MVSD as one of five districts in the state. Requires a huge effort district wide to align and examine educational practices, manage and interpret data for student learning and strengthen instructional strategies.
